INSURANCE

Polish third party liability insurance is mandatory during the EURO BIG WAY CAMP 2011. Insurance will be provided by HESTIA.

Extract of general conditions:

The insurance shall cover property and personal losses caused by the Insured while parachute jump.

Insurance covers property and personal losses caused on the territory of the Polish Republic.
The insurance contract covers property and personal losses due to accidents which occur at the insured location. Any losses resulting from the same accident or the same cause, irrespective of the number of persons affected, shall be deemed as originating on the same date.

The scope of insurance does not cover third party liability for property or personal losses if:
- they consist in financial losses not related to the property or personal loss
- they occur in movable property used by the persons covered by insurance based on rental, lease, hire or another related legal relation
The insurance does not cover fines, administrative penalties, court penalties or other fiscal penalties imposed on the persons covered by insurance.

Within the provided cover, Ergo Hestia is obliged to assess the actual and legal situation and make a decision to either accept the claim and pay indemnity or to undertake defence of the Policyholder against an unjustified claim.

At any time Ergo Hestia has the right to pay indemnity equal to the guaranteed sum or lower, which may satisfy claims raised as a result of the accident, thus becoming released from continuing further defence and incurring other costs.

If penal proceedings were commenced against the perpetrator of an accident and the aggrieved party files a claim for indemnity in court, the Insured is obliged to notify Ergo Hestia about it within 3 days.

Ergo Hestia pays out the indemnity or the benefit based on the accepted claim of the person eligible under the insurance contract, as a result of findings in the course of proceedings to determine the facts, the validity of the claims and the amount of benefit or a settlement or a legally binding court verdict related to it.

Ergo Hestia shall pay indemnity or benefit within 30 days from the date of having been notified of the incident.
